Friday Night Date

Well... I promised pictures, and pictures you shall have.

Dinner on Friday night ROCKED. My husband ended up taking me to the Epic Bistro, where we enjoyed a DELICIOUS meal, incredible wine, and the fun of me trying to pretend like I'm classy (aka trying to belch quietly, and stopping myself from picking up my dessert plate and licking the sauces off of it). I did, however, threaten to stab my husband with my fork when he kept trying to steal bites of my dessert after telling me he was too full for it. The menu, if you're interested, can be found here.

I had two glasses of the house white wine, which turned out to be an '00 Crow Canyon Chardonnay. I had a wonderful salad with Wild Field Greens, Cucumber, Cherry Tomato, Red Onion, Chévre au Poivre, and Balsamic Vinaigrette to start. Then, for my entree, I actually had something besides chicken! Whoo hoo! AND, it was delicious! I had the Grilled Tuna, with Cucumber-Mango Salad, Rice Noodles, Pickled Ginger, Wasabi, Sweet Soy Sauce. When the waitress asked me how I'd like it cooked, I was stumped. I didn't expect that question about fish. *grin* Luckily, the waitress realized I was confused, and said, "Generally however you like your steak prepared." I finally could answer her.

It was AWESOME. Totally worth the money. (Especially since I didn't pay.)

For dessert, I had a nearly orgasmic Sour Cream Chocolate Tart with Ganache, Crème Anglaise and Raspberry Coulis. It was DAMN tasty. I think I could eat one of those every single day and be happy.

So, *drum roll*

This is what we look like all fancified...

Me

Me a little closer up

My husband

Him a little closer up

Whoo hoo! We don't clean up too bad, do we?
