Foods I've craved so far today:

-Bread and butter pickles

-Peanut butter

-Cake

-Sugar cookies with frosting

Things I'm excited about:

-Today is my last day of work for two days. (I used a vacation day for New Years Eve, and we get New Years Day off.)

-I booked a long weekend trip to New Orleans for next March yesterday. I'm SO excited to go back there. And with the travel vouchers I got from my boss, it will only cost us $161.38, plus food and drinks. Whoo hoo!!

-Even though the hotel we wanted to stay in was already booked, we were given the option of staying in another haunted one. Hooray!

Things that aren't cool:

-Having to work on Friday as well as Saturday. Stupid year-end frenzy. At least I'll most likely be able to talk the Bitch From Hell into buying us delicious breakfasts on Saturday morning.

-Not really knowing what we're doing for New Year's Eve. Last year was fun, but not super great. I want to do something FUN AND EXCITING one year, dammit! Oh well. Sitting at home and watching movies with my husband sounds kind of cozy. As long as there's champagne involved.

-Continuing to hate my job.

My husband should find out about his raise today. SHOULD being the key word. If you could take a minute to send us "big money" or even "an end to the 'why do we have no money?'-ness" vibes, that would be SUPERB.
