I need a vacation

Wow. I've been slacking with this lately, yeah?

Yeah.

So...

If I had balls, I would have told Boob "Sorry about waiting until the last minute!" when I took his 5 pm appointment file into his office this morning at 9:02 am. He's the one that always wants the files for his appointments anywhere from 2-5 hours before hand, and if we give it to him closer to his appointment than he likes, he says "Jeez! Waiting until the last minute again!"

Bastard.

My boss left a couple of hours ago for his two week trip to New Zealand. Hi, can I be that rich, please?

So far this year his vacations have included:

-Atlantis resort in the Bahamas

-A trip to the Amazon with his whole family (all funded by him, of course)

-A trip around the Great Lakes on his 57-foot boat

-Probably more that I can't remember

This isn't even mentioning last year, when he went to England for a week, was back in the office for two days, and then went to Ireland for a long weekend. (And Hawaii. And.... Alright. Now I'm getting depressed.)

I want to travel somewhere. Hopefully our trip to Greece will work out for next year. I want to go there so badly I can TASTE it. My desktop background right now is a gorgeous picture of Santorini (one of the islands we're DEFINITELY visiting). Every time I catch a glimpse of it, I feel this incredible longing...

God, listen to me whine. You'd think with the way I'm talking I haven't been anywhere for YEARS. I was just in Jamaica a little over a year ago for my honeymoon. Since then I've been to Seattle, Kansas City, St. Louis... It's not like I never go ANYWHERE...

I just miss beaches. White sand. Actual warmth. Lying on a beach somewhere, listening to the waves as they kiss the shore, a drink in one hand, and a book in the other. I miss just relaxing. Not having to be anywhere at any time...and KNOWING that.

*sigh*

Even if we do go to Greece next year, it wouldn't be until September or so...

That's a LONG time to wait...
