Has anyone seen those stupid high fructose corn syrup commercials (HFCS) they've been playing on TV lately? The ones in which people are shocked that their friends or loved ones are trying to give them products with high fructose corn syrup in them because it's, you know, bad...or whatever.
"You know what they say about high fructose corn syrup..."
"Well, uhh...."
My favorite part? The end of the commercials where it says in tiny, tiny print 'Paid for by the Corn Refiners Association'. Because really, why would the industry in charge of refining corn into HFCS lie to us? Just so they can continue to make money from a product they create and have a vested interest in continuing to sell, whether it has a negative health effect on people or not? That would be silly!
