Three amusing things

1. The puppy was lying on my lap earlier this evening. When he jumped down, his butt/tail hair crackled. I think it might be time to get a humidifier for the house.*

*Static electricity is not my friend. There was a time last year when I was literally afraid to touch anything that might conduct static electricity - both inside and outside the house - because the vast majority of the time it would lead to me getting shocked, which hurt like a bitch. The kitties also tend to get a bit jumpy after a few times of being shocked while I'm petting them.

2. I went into the dining room to open the door for Sawyer a while ago, since he claimed he had to go outside. While he was doing his thinking-about-it/sniffing-for-interesting-things/will-I-or-won't-I thing, the light from the motion light over the deck was reflecting directly off the silver tag on his collar and making a tiny spot of light on the dining room floor. I heard thumping noises behind me, so I turned around to see what it was. It ended up being Callie, chasing the tiny spot of light around on the floor. She seemed kind of disappointed when he finally walked outside.

3. The dog smells like dirty feet. He's been out in the rain lately, so it seems like he would smell like dirty, semi-stinky wet dog. Instead, he smells like dirty feet. I don't understand.
