Here are my basic thoughts one hour into the second Presidential debate:
*If John McCain says "my friends" one more time, I will probably want to throw something through the TV. (He said it twice more while I was writing this and yes, I do indeed want to throw something through the TV.)
*I wonder if John McCain is saying "my friends" and trying to sound all warm and fuzzy in order to convince people that all those attack ads his campaign has been running have nothing to do with him. They might as well have made him wear a sweater instead of a suit jacket and sing "Please Won't You Be My Neighbor" instead of answering questions.
*I wonder how long it will take for Tom Brokaw to totally give up on trying to keep the "town hall" format, due to neither candidate being able to stick to the rules.
*How hard is it? Red light = STOP TALKING Monkeys could figure it out.
*John McCain saying "I thank you for that question" to everyone who asks a question makes him sound condescending again. Maybe I'm just biased against him. I wonder if other people think he sounds condescending?
