This and That*

Yesterday morning at work, the higher-ups sat everyone down in a meeting to inform us that essentially, the way we have been doing everything for years and years now (5 years for me) was not the way we were going to continue to do things. And things were going to change about...10 minutes after the meeting ended.

Alrighty then.

Remember how I said I was stressed and freaking out about everything I had to do? It's now sort of like that, only about ten times worse. I think I need to invest in a vat of Xanax to get me through the next 7 months.

I wonder if the doctor will write me a prescription for that?

I also wonder what the doctor shorthand for "vat of Xanax" would be...

A conversation today:

Me: I'm getting my her' did tonight. It's been driving me nuts.

TheMister: You mean that funky piece in the front?

Me: Which piece?

TheMister: The one that hits your nose.

Me: Honey, those are called bangs. No, I'm talking about the rest of it.

An excellent example of the state of my brain lately:

I was getting ready this morning, and had gotten to the point where I put in my contacts. I looked at my contact lens holder and cup and realized that last night, I washed my contacts really well because they had been bothering me, put the contacts into the lens holder, and then...apparently started doing something else. I had to soak my contacts all day today in order to be able to get my dry, petrified contacts off the contact lens holder so that tonight I could clean and soak the new set of contacts I had to put in.

I AM THE SMARTEST WOMAN ALIVE!!!
