Computer Hell

Remember this? When the stupid sytem at work was on the fritz and the IT guy had to restore it as of two nights ago?

Well, deja fucking vu!

He tried to install the switch again on Wednesday. Things done got fucked up. (Is anyone surprised? I'm not.) Nothing (except the internet, after a few hours of being down yesterday) has been working properly for the past couple days. He's restoring things as of Tuesday night. Now I have to remember what all I did yesterday. You know, starting around 3 pm or so when I could actually do anything.

Grr...

STOP FUCKING WITH STUFF, YOU BASTARD! Leave things alone!

I'm seriously beginning to hate this guy. What faith I had in his ability to fix things around here has all but vanished.

God, I hate this place.

Not only because the system has been down though.

No, it's because I work for a cheap bastard (except when it comes to unnecessary computer-related items, apparently). It's been near 80 degrees here the past couple of days.

We? Haven't had the air on. I think it was near 90 degrees in here for the past two days. Yesterday I had my crappy little fan on and we stole the fan from the IT guy because Officemate and I were both sweating to death.

Big Kahuna didn't want to turn the air on if he had to turn it off again in the next few days when it got cooler.

Um, sir? You make millions of dollars a year. I think preventing heat stroke in your employees and the melt-down of two very expensive servers is worth a few clams, don't you?

The best part?

There are locks on all the thermostats here. Because we are all five year olds who just fuck with the temperature whenever we want.
