Feeling better

I'm feeling much better today than I did yesterday, about everything.

Last night, all I wanted was to go home and cry. (A bit about the kitty, a bit about my puppy, and a bit just because I've felt like crying for about two weeks now, but hadn't had a reason.)

So OF COURSE, (because Murphy's Law does exist, and Murphy apparently hates me), my officemate and another co-worker were allowed to leave at 4 pm so they could go meet a celebrity, and everyone and their mother had been calling all day. I wanted to leave on time, so what time did I end up leaving? About 5:30 PM.

First I had to finish up a couple of files, then I had to do the backup on the system (which my officemate usually does). I had forgotten that we lost power for a few minutes yesterday, and the computer in the back was still turned off. So, I had to wait for the damn thing to boot up. Then it said there were still people in the system when there actually weren't, so I had to wait until it recognized the fact that I WAS THE ONLY ONE IN IT.

Piece of shit!

I cried a bit on the way home, while trying not to look like an idiot to the person in front of me. I was happy to see that my husband arrived home moments before I did, so I was able to cry at him for a few minutes.

And that took care of that.

(But not before I got mascara on both his dress shirt, and his undershirt once he had taken the dress shirt off.)

I still really hope that the antibiotics and the new food help Az to feel better. I'm trying to stay hopeful.

I hate my job. I know I might have mentioned this once or twice.

So...

My officemate is gone next Monday, which means I'll be doing her stuff. Another co-worker's mother passed away last night, so she will most likely be out next week. THANK GOD The Big Kahuna is gone all next week, otherwise I'd be doing programs for her. Because he's gone, I also don't need to worry about doing his appointments on Monday, Thursday and Friday, because the person who usually does those has Monday off, and is part time anyway.

It's been a few months now since I've had to do 4 people's jobs at once. I guess the time has come to do it again.

Wheeeee!

I need a drink. 10 AM is late enough to drink, right?

And drinking at work is okay, right?
